UK ARTISTS NOMINATED AT BAHAMAS AWARDS
FOUR KORNERZ and ROGER AND SAM GRANDISON represent for the
Brits at the Marlin Awards this year.
4K have been nominated in seven categories, including 'New Artist of the
Year' and 'Album of the Year' for SOULECTRIC.
DEJI from the group (far left, top picture): "to be nominated for so many
awards by such a prestigious body as the Marlin Awards is truly
overwhelming, and feels great to know that the work and effort put into the
album has not gone unrecognised.
I hope other young and aspiring artists can draw inspiration from this too!"
London's ROGER AND SAM (now Atlanta, Georgia residents) have also
been nominated in a number of categories, including 'Live CD Recording
Of The Year' for their absolutely suprerb debut CD, LIVE IN LONDON...

Other international recording artists on the list for this year's awards
include MARVIA PROVIDENCE, as well as STITCHIE.
There are over 100 artists participating in the Marlins this year representing
over ten regions including Africa, the Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda,
Dominica, Fiji, Jamaica, United Kingdom, Tortola BVI, Trinidad & Tobago,
St.Croix, St.Maarten and the USA.
The 'Marlin Weekend' takes place this weekend, October 23-26 in Nassau,
Bahamas under the banner "Gospel in Paradise".
The bi-annual event is expected to attract hundreds of recording artists,
songwriters, producers, managers, retailers, radio announcers and music
fans from throughout the Caribbean as well as overseas.
The Marlins have always kept and eye on the UK scene, and our very own
MARK BESWICK has also been a previous winner...
