DAVE P's online station begins broadcast
LONDON: the UK gospel broadcast scene gains another
Internet platform as Urban Gospel Network (UGN), owned
and operated by popular London-based DJ DAVE P enters
its final phase of testing its new 24-hour radio station.

It's yet another slice of good news for the UK gospel music
industry, which already has a small but growing number of UK-based
full-service Internet stations (including G FORCE RADIO NETWORK).

UGN is offering robust and varied gospel music content, while also
proactively giving over generous, prime-time scheduling to UK gospel
music.

TESTING
The full UGN schedule will eventually add live shows to the pre-recorded
format that most web stations tend to offer with music from UK and US
artists.

Currently the test broadcast (available now) plays Praise & Worship until
midday (GMT), switching to a more varied platter of contemporary and
traditional music thereafter.

Music comes from an array of familiar and emerging UK and US names:
RAYMOND & CO, EKKLESIA, IAN PITTER, STEALTH, FAYE SIMPSON,
CADET, CECE WINANS, KARL NOVA, MUYIWA, TRIPLE O, ALVIN
SLAUGHTER, DORINDA CLARK COLE AND MARTHA MUNIZZI

All artists are being invited to send their music in for airplay by MP3,
