everyone's inboxes, TV screens, mobiles or whatever...
Typically it starts out as an in-joke somewhere, then - as the circle
of adopters expand - takes on a mad life of its own.
Occasionally some canny corporate type sees a chance to make a
quick buck and jumps on the bandwagon to ramp up the hype to a
dizzying nth degree.
It's the template to almost every novelty trend there ever was: from
the MACARENA to CRAZY FROG and the soon-to-be-unleashed
ROLEX SWEEP, the formula delivers a sure-fire hit (provided you have
the right product), following the same pattern:
