I wasn't too sure what EXHALE! 2 was going to be like...
Not because I doubted the content as the line up was HOT! With artists like KIRSTEN, UMAU, BABY SOL, JAZ ELLINGTON, TEAM 6 (from Nigeria) the night was definitely going to be something else. What I doubted was the turn out.
BUT as the people trickled in, I knew my fears were not necessary. The venue, LEONARDS EC1
was so packed to the brim that we had to open the doors. I no longer doubted the power of the 'gab' as most people came by personal recommendation.
KARL NOVA, the resident host, had this to say:
'...I had no doubt that it was going to be a great
event. The acts were top quality and we were
coming off the success of the first EXHALE! event, so I was buzzing.
I was a bit concerned about how the turn out was going to be because I didn't feel we did
BUT as the people trickled in, I knew my fears were not necessary. The venue, LEONARDS EC1

Hosting alongside KARL was AYO-DELE (the 'A' in GK REAL) - her thoughts were;
'I was expecting a show that had a good mix of talents
especially after the first one. A standard was set, but the second
definitely superceded it.
It was a very enjoyable evening but the excitement was seeing
the faces of the guests, not knowing what to expect from each
act was electric.
The greatest thing is to see people getting blessed and that is what I witnessed first hand from my vantage point of being one of the hosts...'

As the 29th of SEPT draws closer, I am in my EVENTS MANAGER mood: excited, worried,
Starting out as a magazine, EXHALE! has now become an event that supports grassroots artists at
intimate themed events. Currently working on an acoustic theme, many of the acts appearing on the
