means that we want to always represent!
Part of God's commission for us, as Christians, is to be the light and salt of
the earth.
We therefore want to get out there and touch lives and share the
GOOD NEWS (the title of one of our first tracks!) with others all over the
world.
We want people to hear the seriousness of God's message, but enjoy the
reality of His love and have the freedom to just worship Him the way that
we love to!

EKKLESIA - The Denmark Diary
7.15 am - NADINE, the band and I are on board our flight heading to Copenhagen, Denmark. It soon became clear that none of us had eaten that morning and proceeded venture through the on flight menu.
10.30 am - We land in Denmark and are met by PETER, one of the organisers of the festival and our aide for the weekend. The venue is a beautiful church just outside Copenhagen; we were quickly made to feel very comfortable.
Just as we began to relax a gentleman walks in and introduces himself as BRIAN FENTRESS. BRIAN was going to lead workshops over the course of the weekend alongside NADINE.
9.30 pm - KEVIN and SIMONE arrive, as they had to get a later flight, and now our EKKLESIA family is complete!

Friday (7th March)
It's now time to eat and we all get ready to bless our food, when PETER announces that we all need to hold hands around the table. He proceeded to sing:
And then began to eat. Oooooooook!! Yes, we were pleasantly surprised - and we sung that prayer every time we ate - even in the Chinese restaurant! In harmony!
11.00 pm - We are staying with families from the church in groups of twos and threes. Everyone was looking forward to a good night's sleep!

'Thank Jesus for our food, thank you Jesus for our food, right where we are!
Hallelujah, Praise the Lord right where we are....'

Saturday (8th March)
NADINE leads an amazing workshop, the rest
of the group is darting around the building
setting up merchandise, filming and taking
part in the workshops. It was pretty much all
systems go.
KEVIN appears to be composing a song so I
make my way over to him, the song is about
an 'Iguana'! SIMONE cannot stop laughing and all I find myself thinking is 'no it will not make an appearance on our album!'
I found it so amazing; sitting in the workshop, watching the hunger to learn intensify - it was an awesome feeling.
9.00 pm - we are singing our last song of the evening and the title track of our album RAIN. The words go up on the overhead projector, I watch in awe as the crowd sing and worship, arms lifted in the air, a sign of surrender.

NADINE in workshop mode...
9:45 pm - The end of a 45 min set, it was AMAZING!
I walk in to a 600-seat auditorium and see NADINE on stage directing a 200 voice choir
in preparation for the evenings events.
What a time we had!
Many people from the night before had attended and we found that they were singing along and enjoying themselves. We left the stage, and the crowd was still singing RAIN - it was incredible!
The language barrier could have been an obstacle, but it made no difference at all. HALLELUJAH sounds the same in any language and when the praise was going up, we

A 25 minute set that seem to end so quickly...
PETER escorts us to the airport, and we say our goodbyes all the way there.
We've had a fantastic time and look forward to returning later on this year.
Denmark - we love you.
