Once again, you have an opportunity to take
UK gospel music to the mainstream...
LET'S TWIST AGAIN...
We did this once before with the SONY BMG/Integrity joint release,
'THE NEW SOUND OF GOSPEL'...
You remember? The idea was to take the best of UK gospel music (from RAYMOND & CO to
JAHAZIEL to SHADRACH to FOUR KORNERZ to BISHOP JOHN FRANCIS) and line them up
alongside the best the US had to offer (you know the usual suspects. No need for me to list
them)...
From where I was standing the project should have accomplished two very important things
among the myriad reasons people put out CDs for:
1. introduce UK gospel music to a mainstream audience.
2. show potential mainstream partners (record labels,
promoters, TV and radio stations, etc) that the gospel
music scene is - potentially - an attractive investment
partner for them. Provided we sell respectable units.
I don't have any official figures to hand, but NSOG was in the top 15 compilations in my local
HMV, and I also seem to remember it breaking into the national top 40 compilations all in its first

People: you need to support. Buy this CD to get it into the national charts.

stations and TV channels? Well, it starts this way. Record companies are only interested in
distributing our product if the numbers make financial sense to them.
